FFD: September 3, 2001 The Senior Legal Typist serves as a secretary to 4 or more attorney & paralegals. S/he is responsible for typing, proofreading & serving a variety of legal pleadings & documents; preparing correspondence; photocopying; scheduling hearings; setting up & maintaining files & answering telephones for the office. Under the general direction of a Legal Support Supervisor, s/he performs independently with minimal supervision. Applicants will be subject to fingerprinting & a criminal records check by the Department of Justice. Applicants must answer questions 10 & 11 on standard state application (STD 678). Training & Development assignments may be considered.
