Procedures at Your Hearing
At the beginning of your hearing, the judge will determine who is present, explain the procedures to be followed during the hearing, identify the issue(s) for discussion, and ask if you have any questions about the hearing process.
Generally, the judge will ask the county representative to present its position first. The county representative will be asked to identify the action(s) taken by the county and the reasons for its actions. If the county presents any witnesses who testify at the hearing, you will be allowed to ask questions of the county’s witnesses.
Next, the judge will ask you to present your case. If you present any witnesses who testify at the hearing, the county representative will be allowed to ask questions of your witnesses.
