Find a Food Bank
The Emergency Food Assistance Program (EFAP) administers the USDA commodities to Eligible Recipient Agency (ERA) - county food banks. To qualify, recipients must meet the eligibility criteria in accordance with USDA Regulations, in order to receive USDA commodities. Under no circumstances shall a recipient be required to make any type of payment in money, materials, or services of any kind in connection with the receipt of USDA commodities.
In order for a recipient or household to be eligible for USDA commodities, they must reside in the geographical area being served. The recipient may be asked to present acceptable evidence of residency in the service area, such as a Driver’s License. However, if documented proof of residency cannot be supplied, food may not be denied to the recipient if they agree to sign an EFAP Certification of Eligibility form (EFA-7).
A recipient who lives in the county, but outside of the ERA service area may receive commodities; however, the client should be advised of a site in their own area to pick up commodities from in the future.
Please follow this link to the income guideline chart to determine if you or your household meets the maximum income requirements to receive USDA commodities.
